The section shown here is know as the "HEADER", which contains your personal "LOG IN" or "LOGIN" window. Simply left-clicking your mouse in this area will allow you to either "Sign In" using any of the methods listed below, or to "Join Us" and "Become a Member" (the same thing really), this action is FREE and may the single most important thing a person can do to help demonstrate to politicians and everyone else really, how important our small towns are to their being elected, or re-elected to office. In early days, as is still the case today, when people needed to get things done politically, they would do what is still known as "Lobbying" their elected officials, by literally, gathering as large a group of constituents in very lobby of the Senate or House, where they would cajole their representatives to vote on THEIR behalf. Today considerable funds are available to build lakes, parks, restore distressed areas, and much, much more. Where do you think they will allocate these funds? You guessed it! In effort to prevent their having to wade through countless yelling college students (the LOBBY), they will do almost anything! TODAY, there exists another method, the "eLobby!" This is a similar method yet no one needs to go to the Capital in Oklahoma City to make their points. Instead, the State and US Senators and Congressmen are inundated via email and other web-based tools they cannot ignore, until that is, action is taken. Just as with a physical LOBBY, the very WEIGHT of eLobby approaches is based on the number of participants, such as the members of an eLobby force, YOU. Billions of dollars are spent annually on lakes, rural and suburban revitalization, and the like. Our own Lake Murray is an excellent example of a project our representatives are searching for. Our downtown district is also annother place where considerable funds might be allocated if the need was presented in such a way that our duly elected officials could not ignore our plea. HERE IT IS> Please consider joining with us to have your voice heard. If you have ideas regarding municipal needs such as our CRUMBLING INFRASTRUCTURE, our ROADS, BRIDGES, WATER SUPPLY, SCHOOLS and invaluable TEACHERS, or VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS, or our pride, our POLICE FORCE, each suffering in today's economy, JOIN WITH US, and LET'S GET SOMETHING DONE.

"Actually, I don't say these things because I believe in the 'brute' nature of man or that men must be brutalized to be combative. I believe in God, and I believe in human decency. But I firmly believe that any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear - is that moment when he has to work his heart out in a good cause and he's exhausted on the field of battle - victorious."

“Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”

The BLOGs are posted in chronological order, so the latest post is first shown at the top of that blog's page. A BLOG is a key tool for having and keeping an open dialog and line of communication about any topic. "Hashtags" may be used, just as is typically done by other websites which employ them, to keep the threads (or distinctly unique and individual conversation topics) posted in an easy to follow, searchable format. If you are a Facebook User, the "Timeline" thread, or Blogs found herein are similar in most respects (other than the $2.9 BILLION revenue stream Facebook generates a year...note to self: "Call Zucherberg!" Sorry! I digress) to those ubiquitous and pervasive Facebook offerings. Once a member, you may access the BLOG arena by clicking on the BLOG buttons in the Members area.

you to any suggested page, either on our website or anywhere in the world indicated by that button, Icon, image or tagged element. If you find a need for a link to ot from any location, please let us know. We all, members of the Grandfield Historical Preservation Society would sincerely love to hear from you. Join in the conversations. Let your voices be heard. Members of our society are politically connect and this new form of lobbying is guaranteed to attract their interest and to get funding for things like city infrastructure, schools, police and fire departments. The squeaking wheel does get the grease, as the old cliche infers.

We would love to hear from you if you have comments, suggestions or if you just want to yell at somebody! Thank you very much for being with us on this journey Sincerely, Rory D. Witt, DCS
